  If you are interested in southern Utah history, you have to include the Parowan Cemetery. Several monuments have amazing inscriptions recounting how locals were persecuted or otherwise dispatched, mostly for breaking laws against polygamy. Former Utah governor Scott Matheson is probably the most well known decedent buried here.
